Yes, I'm still swishing oil in the morning.
Although, a week ago, I started doing it only once a day, in the morning, using unrefined VCO (virgin coconut oil). I thought I'd give a two week update.
Since starting, the skin on my face has been looking great. Acne outbreaks on my face from overindulging in sugar have been *much* milder. However to be fair and in the interest of full disclosure, I've adopted a nothing but water on my face routine after I started oil pulling, and used a washcloth/towel to scrub my wet face well and remove all excess oils and dead skin cells.
My teeth seem as white/ivory as before, with toothache pretty much gone.
I was surprised that the psoriasis on my leg looks like it's actually healing very slowly. In some areas it's all but gone and skin color looks normal. In most it's looking significantly better than before and smaller in size.
The keratosis pilaris doesn't seem to have changed at all. Although, that could be because of the terrible tap water I have (hard and chlorinated).
Still getting the suppressed appetite right after OP, but I eat my breakfast anyway. I'd definitely recommend it though to someone trying to lose weight.
It has also made me a more regular person when it comes to bowel movement, which I've never been, not with any diet. For that alone, I would keep doing it forever, because I feel better and my stomach is flatter. 'Nuff said.
The sores I'd had at the back of my tongue. Well turns out they weren't sores, but circumvallate papillae, which everybody has. Mine for some reason are very slightly enlarged, which doctors consider as normal and sometimes just happens. However, other people have said that taking probiotics has made them back to normal size, so I'm thinking maybe VCO is killing the probiotic culture in my body? Now I really wish I'd noticed whether I had these before I started OP so I would know for sure. Does anybody else have them?
I'm thinking of getting a small bottle of sesame oil and switching to that, especially because VCO has an irritant effect on my throat when taken alone and because people seem to really prefer sesame oil. I might also try palm oil later on in Lebanon, and see what that does.
