I thought I'd share some pictures of spring time in my little apartment gardening endeavor!
First up, the gorgeous eggplants. I just love their purple flowers and all those buds. I hope this means plenty of eggplants later on. I guess feeding them all the random banana peels, kitchen scraps, and shrimp tails has paid off big time!
I like weeds. Considering I often don't have the time to fill up every little soil space with greenery, pretty spring flowers always shoot up on their own and do a nice job all by themselves. Below are radishes, mint, and really big beets.
I have only ever seen 3 types of birds on eighth floor window sill: small non-descript city brown birds, doves, and pigeons.
I was woken up a few days ago (now on a regular basis) by a newcomer. These few birds, to the best of my knowledge, have decided to stop and make home nearby instead of continuing on their usual migratory route. I've noticed it coming to my window sill often to grab dried up leaves and plant sticks and make away with them, presumably to build a next. I'm not sure what they are yet.
