But what I really want right now is a big ass piece of a multi-layered chocolate cake. Fresh baked bread. Sandwich. Brownies. Chocolate. I think I'm going through some type of carb/grain withdrawal. I ate cooked fruit yesterday but it's not the same. I hope this will pass soon. Even though I'm totally full, I'm still craving sweets!
I may need to introduce some carbs at some point. Maybe some potatoes or something.
carb withdrawal is very real. It goes away after a week. I know it is hard to believe but after a while you lose the taste for bread and pasta. Seriously. And sweets become way too sweet. Today I sat with a few friends, they all had a cake and I couldn't care less. Last week it would've been a different story.
ReplyDeleteWhen I did low carb properly, even apples started tasting overly sweet. But then I slip with chocolate (that's always what drags me back in :)) and after a while sweet is not sweet enough.
It is amazing how quickly the body adapts.
